Preorder Rocket

I just read that one of my favorite DS games, Trauma Center, is geting a DS sequel. I had no idea where I was going with this comic, and I like the result. It is quick and dirty looking, but actually took longer than I expected, since I intentionally made it look that way.

I also love the idea of simply owning a preorder rocket. People would lose their lives, but I would get my games quicker. That is worth the loss of life.

Sorry

Yep, nothing. I spent the past four hours working on, and finishing, a final project. Two months ahead of the due date.

Having no social life kicks ass.

I wish I could put it up here, but it is a 25mb animation. Sorry.

Bad Career Choice.

OK. Kirby's eat. A LOT. And Mario is a plumber. So I imagine that one day, in between Brawl matches, Mario would have to go back to being a plumber.

100% True

This is 100% true. Even my reaction. I was driving down the road, and a truck came up behind me. I looked. It was a red Ford. Probably 80's. I doubt normal people notice these things, but after working at a gas station, it becomes second nature. Just like I can tell you I was behind a silver Chevy SUV with black trim this afternoon. But this truck was more than just an older truck. It was tall. I was shocked. Then I saw the tires. The tires were, like, two feet wide or something. Then the coup de grace (insert accents someplace). I saw the "Git R Done" plates.

"Oh dear God, I'm in the South!" Exact words.

Professor Tomton

I did these when Professor Layton came out for the DS. I liked how simple the art looked, but was tricked into thinking that it would be easy to replicate. I think the car came out pretty good though.
Monday I should have some free time during class, so I will get a new comic done for Tuesday. Sorry. I had a few things to finish up this week.

Better Than Nothing

No time for a comic this afternoon, sadly. However, I did draw a bitchin' monkey for an Illustrator project. So enjoy that. Or not. Either way is fine.

Another Day at Work

So today was a fun day at work, and I am not being sarcastic. I got to work on a little cartoon character for the envelopes, and then print off about 100 of them. The printer only accepts about 8 at a time, and I had to print the logo on the back of the envelopes, so it took awhile. I turned on the ol' iPod and listened to music while I kept putting envelopes in. At one point, I caught myself dancing. For the rest of the day I just kept looking over my shoulder, hoping nobody saw me.

Objection!

Yes, I know. I had no comic on Monday, and I probably won't have one tomorrow because of class (I might, depends on my free time Tuesday after work), so I put a crapton of work into this comic. It is based on what one of my final assignments will be, so the backgrounds can be reused. I loved how it came out, but it took about 45 minutes.

It Must Have Been Hard to Screw That Up

So, I made the mistake of watching the "Speed Racer" trailer today. I have a couple of fond memories of the TV show. He talked fast, and his car could jump. There was one thing I liked in that trailer: the Pewtuntuntung sound from making the car jump.

But honestly, how can you make a movie that is "Fast Cars, Fast Talking" into crap? By making it crazy weird looking.

It Just Doesn't Seem Worth It

Since it was Spring Break, I decided to do what every normal twenty year old does! I started my final projects! Woo! Oh yeah, I'm crazy like that. Sounded simple enough on paper: make a one-minute animation in ImageReady. Now, I had to use Flash for my last animation class, so I have a slight advantage over some of my classmates. Mainly, that advantage is knowing that, in Flash at least, to make a decent animation work it takes hours. Many, many, hours. So I spent two hours on it so far, thinking that I would be pretty far ahead! I gave it a test...it lasts about 11 seconds. Note to self: start final projects before the professor even thinks of them. It'll help in the long run.

Why Brawl is Good. A Thesis by Tom.

Obviously, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is incredible. I could make a big list with lots of bullet points, links, and other fancy things. Or I could just draw a comic. Both are good. But I did the comic since it seemed like more of my thing to do.

Brawlin'

Ugh. I know. This isn't creative, blah blah blaaaaaah. Truth is, while working on this, all I felt like doing was either playing the game or simply sleeping. That or drawing a better comic. I'm not proud of this one, but the creativity jar was scraped clean.

Obligatory Self Portrait

My necessary self-portrait. I did this a while ago. The hair is traced for the most part, I will admit.

Works

For this to qualify for extra credit, I have to have five works and a self portrait. So I have chosen my favorite five doodles and comics for this. Hopefully on Monday or Tuesday I will update again, since I am on break.

Storage

Well, my Yahoo! site is filled to the brim, and I'm not paying 5$ a month for ten more megabytes of storage, so I am moving all my new comics to Blogger.
